Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the RynChat application and associated services ("Services"), provided by Ryvan Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our Services.

2. Description of Service

RynChat provides end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice and video calling, and a secure local data vault (Life Hub). We provide the infrastructure to route encrypted data, but we do not host, monitor, or control the content of your communications.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

While we cannot monitor the content of your messages, you agree not to use the Services to:

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
• Transmit malware, viruses, or disruptive code that harms users or infrastructure.
• Engage in automated scraping, spam, or network abuse.
• Impersonate a "Verified Business" without passing our cryptographic verification process.

We reserve the right to ban network access to cryptographic keys found to be engaging in infrastructure abuse or network denial-of-service attacks.

4. Intellectual Property

The RynChat app, name, logo, and proprietary software are the intellectual property of Ryvan Technologies. The core routing and cryptographic protocols we utilize may be open-source and governed by their respective licenses. You may not reverse-engineer proprietary components of our clients.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". Because you control your own encryption keys, we cannot recover your data if you lose your recovery phrase and trusted devices. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ryvan Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Services.
